MCADAMS, TY, age 60, passed away on August 7, 2025, after a very short fight with cancer. He was born in Springfield, OH on June 29, 1965, the son of the late Larry V. and Janet L. (Rust) McAdams. A graduate of JVS and a skilled welder, Ty worked many years at Rittal and lent his talents to various manufacturers over the years. Whether on the job or off the clock, he brought with him a steady hand, a helping heart, and an open ear. Ty was happiest outdoors—fishing pole in hand, speeding across the water in a fast boat, or sitting around a campfire swapping stories. A lover of music, a die-hard Browns and Buckeyes fan, and a natural storyteller, Ty had a way of turning ordinary moments into lasting memories. He was a friend to everyone he met. Always willing to help, always ready to talk, and never in too much of a hurry to stop and share a laugh. Ty was preceded in death by his loving parents, Janet (Rust) and Larry McAdams. He is survived by his sister, Sherri Schindler (Judd); his brother, Brad McAdams (Donna); his companion, Lisa Storer and her children, Amber Hixon and Cassie McLean; longtime companion of his father, Robin Carney; nephews Chris Elliott (Kayla), Josh Elliott (Taysha), niece Brittany Hubbard (Sam), and many great nephews and nieces including Henry, Christian, Addison, Aeva, Ann-Marie, Jaelyn, Olivia, Cora, Blakely, Grayson, and baby Hubbard. He leaves behind many friends and family who will forever remember his big heart. A very special thank you goes to his best friend Todd Hager, who helped with the appointments, our sanity, and was there until the very end. The family would also like to thank the staff at Day-City Hospice, Leigh and Sierra and the rest of the staff at Springfield Regional Hospital and Dr. Felix Kencana at the Springfield Regional Cancer Center. A casual visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Conroy Funeral Home. Friends and family are encouraged to come as you are. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ty’s memory to the Clark County Animal Welfare League in honor of his cat Lizzy. Take a moment today to do something Ty would’ve loved—drop a line in the water, cheer on the Browns, turn up your favorite song, or simply talk to someone new. He’d appreciate that.
