Thomas A. Brown

Brown, Thomas A. “Tom”, 84, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, in his home surrounded by family. Tom was born on January 5, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Edward A. and Rita B. (Fitzsimmons) Brown. He was a co-developer of Aberfelda Hills and co-owner of Dayton Foundry Supply. He was an avid sports fan and was a proud grandpa. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joyce (Lonsway) Brown; three children, Colleen Brown, Dave (Lisa) Brown and Steve (Jill) Brown; five grandchildren, Will (Mary) Loden, Megan (Joe) Silva, Kami Brown, Taylor Brown and Ryan Brown; two sisters, Kathy (Tim) DeLong and Conni Cultice; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Brown; and three siblings, Dick Brown, Patty Nangle and Ed Brown. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Hospice.
