Shirley Kay Bexfield

BEXFIELD, Shirley Kay, 76, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Glendale Place Nursing and Rehab. What a glorious day to be gifted with heaven. We would like to acknowledge Glendale Nursing Home for their loving care of our mother. Shirley was battling dementia for years. She is now that beautiful, witty, sweet soul we all knew and loved. She was born December 15, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Roderick M. and Roberta C. (Gibson) Woodland. Survivors include two children, Jennifer Woodland and Buffy Bexfield; three siblings, Lela Graham, Roderick Woodland, Jr. and Leroy Woodland. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Richard “Shane” Bexfield and a brother, Richie Woodland. In honor of our loved ones, we ask you to make plans, make love, make up, make time, make the small things big. No services will be held at this time.
