Sandra J. Skabla

SKABLA, Sandra J., 75, of Springfield, passed away October 14, 2013 in Villa Springfield. She was born April 26, 1938 in Cedarville, Ohio the daughter of Robert K. and Lucille (Gildow) Kennedy. Sandra was a dedicated, lifelong childcare provider who opened her heart and her home to hundreds of children throughout her whole life. Survivors include her four children and spouses, William & Roxann Skabla, Newport News, VA, Eric & Kimberly Skabla, Springfield, Marlene & Ray Brewington, Waynesville, Ohio and Arlene Carpenter, Springfield; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Rose Lee Graf, Alpine, CA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends Donna Trusty and Joyce Maddex. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. in 2007. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Britton officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
