Robert Benston, Jr.

BENSTON, Robert J., Jr., 57, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1968, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Robert J. and Kay (Wilcoxon) Benston. He received his associates in mechanics from Sinclair Community College. Robert worked as a mechanic for the City of Springfield for 24 years and previously worked for Foreman-Blair. Survivors in addition to his mother, Kay Benston, include his daughter, Mya Benston; fiancé, Lisa Chaffin; three sisters, Deborah Benston, Aimee (Bill) Lackey and Barbara Walter and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 2002. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday in St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
