ENGLISH, Ricky Carlton, 69, of Springfield, formerly of LaBelle, West Palm Beach, Ft. Myers and Bonifay, Florida, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born September 22, 1956, in Geneva, Alabama the son of the late John and Catherine (Brookins) English. He was a 1975 graduate of LaBelle High School. Ricky worked as a heavy equipment operator for Ranger Construction for many years. He was an avid softball player while living in Florida and loved 70’s music. After spending much of his life in Florida, Ricky found true happiness in Ohio, with the love of his life, Heather. He loved seeing snow for the first time, the fall colors and looked forward to all the festivals coming up to enjoy with his wife. They enjoyed hiking, cooking, date nights, sporting events and their shared love of the Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeyes. Survivors include his loving wife of four years, Heather (Stover); two children, Jonathan English and Michelle (David) Miller; one brother, James Ray English; one sister, Cathy Peacock; numerous nieces and nephews and close friends, Bobby Moore, Sammy Lee Moore, John Riley, Jr., Joe Leon and Ralph Guriere. Ricky and Heather adored their fur babies, Katie, Macie, Luna and Bella. He loved his family and friends beyond words and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie English. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
