Reese K. Turton

TURTON, Reese K., Sr., 75, of Springfield, passed away October 29, 2026, in Oakwood Village. He was born in Springfield on September 1, 1951, the son of Stanley and Dolores (Camerucci) Turton. Reese worked at Gaier Furniture for over 50 years and later worked at Lehman Cleaners and owned and operated Viewpoint Blinds & Drapery for several years. Reese coached CYO football in the 1970’s at St. Bernard School, was a baseball coach at Prosser Field for many years and coached at Lagonda Fields. He was an avid sports enthusiast and animal lover. Reese was also an avid amateur radio operator and loved communicating with people worldwide. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed being the camp host at Buck Creek State Park for many years. He was a member of North Hills Church of God. Survivors include his three children, Angela Turton, Reese K. Turton, Jr. and Ryan Turton; seven grandchildren, Alexander Turton, Michael DeFord, Elias DeFord and Jobey DeFord, David Turton and Mary Ratliff, and Shy’ra Turton; three great grandchildren, Stanley Turton, Violet DeFord and Jerry Ratliff. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karla in 2025. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
