Phyllis A. Overman

Overman, Phyllis A., 93, of Springfield, passed away Monday, Apil 27, 2026 at the Springfield Masonic Community. Phyllis was born June 13, 1932, in Hagerstown, Maryland, the daughter of William “Ross” and Lillian Mae (Pompell) Mellott. Phyllis’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy. Survivors include four children, Donna (John) Loney, Anena (Michael) Kouse, Donald (Jodi) Lucas and Russell Overman, Jr.; two step children, Linda Overman-Kadair and Jim (Kim) Overman; eight grandchildren, Jill Loney, John A. (Amanda) Loney, Jamie (Adam) Krefting, Patrick Kouse, Jennifer (Brian) Spurgin, Kristin (Kyle) McDermott; Nicholas (Emily) Overman and Joshua (Rebecca) Overman; seven great grandchildren; sister, Joann Foster; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Overman, Sr.; daughter, Sharon Ferguson; granddaughter, Colleen Loney; step daughter, Donna Smith; and sister, Helen Walls.
