Pauline Beinbrech Baker

Springfield

BEINBRECH BAKER, Pauline, age 101, passed away peacefully and moved on to her “next great adventure” on May 3, 2026 after a difficult last year. Pauline, known as Polly by family and friends, was born in Nova, Ohio on January 22, 1925 to Charles and Myrl Curry. She was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to receive a BS in chemistry at Bowling Green State University. Polly became a librarian and eventually was able to use her degree as a chemical librarian. In 1950, she married Dick, “the love of her life”, raised a family and they celebrated 49 happy years together until his death in 1999. She started square dancing when she moved to the Springfield Masonic Community where she met Dale. They married in 2006 and she gained a new extended family.

Polly enjoyed 100 wonderful years! Her family was her passion but because of her personality and intellect, she pursued numerous interests, always seeking to expand her knowledge. Polly loved nature and travel. She was active in the Masonic Community herself and was a great support for her first husband, Dick, when he became Grand Commander. She had a youthful spirit, a generous heart and spread love throughout every community where she lived. Her boundless love will be missed by so many.

Polly will live in the hearts of her children Drew C. Beinbrech (Jayne Barrett), Barbara Rupp (J. William Rupp) and Vicki Steed (Phil Steed); and their families, her nieces and nephews, her extended family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to honor Polly’s legacy of giving with a donation to our National Parks, Affinity Care Hospice or the charity of your choice.
