Paula Fern Blumhorst

Blumhorst, Paula Fern, 78 of St. Paris, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026, in Silvercrest of Urbana. She was born in Maysville, Missouri on February 10, 1948, the daughter of Ernest and Pauline (VanHoozer) Dice. Paula was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years and was very proud of her work, including taking care of Josh. She was a member of the Quilting Guild in Urbana and was involved in quilting activities in Marion, Indiana. Paula also enjoyed other crafts. She entered her work into shows at the Champaign County Fair for many years and won several times. She enjoyed being outdoors with her husband and son camping and riding motorcycles. Paula was most proud of her family and was a devoted wife and mother. Survivors include her husband, Calvin Don Blumhorst; son and daughter-in-law, Adam (Meredith) Blumhorst; two grandsons, Preston and Cash; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Jan) Dice and Jim (Rhonda) Dice. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellen Dice; two brothers, Eugene and Jerry Dice and sister-in-law, Lois Dice. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
