Skinner, Paul W. “Wes”, 98 of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was born in Springfield on December 15, 1926 the son of William and Katherine (Bauer) Skinner. Paul worked for International Harvester for 36 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, volunteered many years at the Catholic Central Klutter Kloset and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his three children, Paul Douglas Skinner, Kathy (Paul) Orahood and Kevin (Denise) Skinner; daughter-in-law, Linda Skinner; four grandchildren, Jason and Shawn Staggs, Katie (John) Hofmann and Joseph Skinner and four great grandchildren, Noah Staggs, Katherine Rampacek, Eva Skinner and Rosie Hofmann. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and son, Patrick. His family would like to give a special thank you to Cherish Hospice. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
