Mikel D. Evans

Evans, Mikel, 69, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Mikel was born June 28, 1957, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Loren “Red” and Lillian (Hoagland) Evans. Mikel married the love of his life, Barbara Evans, on November 6th, 1999. Together, they shared many years of love, laughter, memories, and life's adventures. Mikel leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara; his brother, Leroy; his two sisters, Carol and Debbie; his bonus children, Toni Larimore, John (Kristie) Larimore and Nathan Hiller; his loving grandchildren, Hanna Larimore, Camron Lewis, and Lexie Hiller; as well as his six great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory in their hearts. Mikel was preceded in death by his parents. He will be remembered for the love he gave, the memories he created, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his love and memory will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME, with Pastors Karen Crawford and Richard Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior, beginning at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of our loved one.
