Michael R. Shaw

SHAW, Michael Robert, was born April 10, 1992 and died on June 9, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was a joyful gift to his parents Richard and Katherine (Donnelly) Shaw. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 2013 and in the following years founded Mikey’s Pizza on Harding Rd in Springfield. It was at Mikey’s Pizza sitting at table one that he met the love of his life, Kellie M. Schissler. They would spend 10 years together before getting married on May 6, 2023. It was on their honeymoon he discovered his favorite place on earth, the island of Bermuda. He is survived by his loving family, his wife, his parents, maternal grandmother, Nana, Annabel Donnelly and very special aunts and uncles, Karen and Duane Sims, Kay and Bryon Spicer, Dr. Kathleen and Steven Oxner, all of Springfield, Sally and Jerry Hinton, Hillsboro, OH; very special cousins, Dr. Alexander Oxner, Boardman, OH of whom he was so very proud and Megan Oxner (Zane Costlow), Westerville, OH; in-laws, Kevin and Linda Schissler, Patrick and Amber Schissler and their families, all of Springfield, special friends, Matthew Cardosi and his family, Codi Campbell, Hunter and Jackson Hazlett and their family; Johnny Lytle and all of his many supportive customers of Mikey’s Pizza who became his extended family. He was preceded in death by his loving family, grandparents, Robert S. and Dheryls L. Shaw, Michael E. Donnelly and cousin, Brent Spicer. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026 in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services to follow starting at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Vale Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Kettering Foundation or Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic.
