Matthew Reese

Matthew Joseph Reese, 45, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026. He is survived by his two children, Izabella Reilly and Couper Paul; his mother, Rosanne Reese; his brother, Christian (Caitlyn) Reese; his sister, Reilly (Drew) Tetik; a niece, two nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close, supportive friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Clayton Reese. Matt was born on August 25, 1981, the son of Rosanne and Douglas Reese in Winfield, Illinois. He grew up mostly in Morris, Minnesota, and graduated from Morris Area High School, where he was an honor student, football player, and award-winning singer and cello player. Matt had been involved in the medical field his entire adult life. His credentials were RN, BSN, and a master’s degree as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. Matt was a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse at Mercy Health in Springfield, Ohio, where he loved working with his supportive colleagues and was passionate about his patients. What was dearest to Matt’s heart was his beloved children. He cherished the time he spent with them and with his blessed friends. A Private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
