Matthew P. Mahoney

Mahoney, Matthew P. “Matt”, 61, of Springfield, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Springfield Regional Medical Center. Matt was born February 7, 1965, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Jack and Mary Anne (Oster) Mahoney. He enjoyed writing and following politics. Survivors include his wife, Beth (Rhodes) Mahoney; one son, Ryan; one grandson; two siblings, Anne Schaaf and Dennis (Kathy) Mahoney; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, John, Phillip, Vincent, Steve, Martin and Eileen. No services will be held at this time. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
