Bissey, Mary M., 87, passed away peacefully May 24, 2013 at Forest Glen Health Campus. She was born on November 2, 1925 to Carl and Mabel (Kramer) Norris. Mary is survived by her son Brian (Tammy) Bissey, and Harold Harris (Christine), grandchildren Lauren, Lindsay Bissey, and James and Megan Harris, and great-grandchild, Kayden and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 50 years, James Bissey, two sisters, Betty Crable, Ella Mae Polaski, and two brothers, Carl and John Norris. Mary was raised in the O.S.S. Home in Xenia, Ohio along with her four siblings where she learned her life-long trade of cosmetology. She was a licensed cosmetologist for sixty-five years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a lector and communion distributor, member of A.B.W.A., Chapter 702, a volunteer at the P.A.C. and Springfield Arts Center. Mary lived a vibrant life and will be remembered for her love of family and compassion toward others. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Forest Glen and to a special friend, JoAnne Lemmons for their love and special care. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Joseph Church or Catholic Central Education Fund.
