Martin J. Valentine

Valentine, Martin J., 66 of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in his home. He was born in Springfield on January 11, 1960, the son of William Roger and Rita (Newell) Valentine. Martin retired from McDonald’s after many years of service as an operating consultant and store manager. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Survivors include his seven siblings, Victoria (Dave) Hermanowski, Edward Valentine, Theresa Anderson, John Valentine, Anne (Dan) Hope, Susan Thornburg and David (Michelle) Valentine; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and special friends, Patty Luther and Claire (Mike) Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Richard Anderson and great nephew, Broderick Jones. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Springfield Regional Cancer Center or St. Raphael Church.
