Luanne W. George

George, Luanne W., 85 of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Wooded Glen. Luanne was born on July 16, 1941 in Springfield to Lloyd and Dorothy (Jackson) Garman. Luanne had been employed as the owner and operator, along with her husband, Bill, of Med-Trans Ambulance for 45 years. She enjoyed golfing, gardening and vacationing with her family and friends in Sarasota, Florida. Survivors include her two children, Lori Wolf and Susan (Josh) Crutchfield; five grandchildren, Tyler (Elizabeth) Wolf, Corey Wolf, Sarah Crutchfield, Gabe Crutchfield and Kaylee George; four great grandchildren, Aubrey, Max, Meelah and Maisey and special friends, Terry and Claudia Brewer. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. “Bill” George and son, Michael George. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Orbie Estep officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
