Linda Kay Hayes

Hayes, Linda Kay of Springfield, Ohio, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Linda was born in Perry County, Kentucky, to Alex and Alberta Engle and was a proud graduate of Springfield North High School, Class of 1971. On the foundation of love, laughter, and unwavering commitment, Linda built a beautiful life with her husband, David Hayes, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Together they raised a loving family and created countless cherished memories. Linda dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Clark County Municipal Court, where she was known for her hard work, dedication, and genuine care for others. Beyond her career, Linda found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Whether attending their activities, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together, she treasured every moment with them. Linda had a special gift for making life's everyday moments feel like celebrations. She loved decorating for every holiday, soaking up the sunshine, and creating traditions that brought people together. Friends and family will fondly remember her famous "surprise" confetti-filled birthday cards, which never failed to bring laughter and a little extra joy to someone's special day. Linda is survived by her beloved husband, David Hayes; her children, Tina (Hayes) and David Cowan, Timothy and April Hayes, and Katie (Hayes) and Justin Kline; and her cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joshua, Hadlee, and Sydney. She is also lovingly remembered by several granddogs, who held a special place in her heart. Linda's kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be two hours prior, beginning at 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
