Linda Badgley

BADGLEY, Linda, passed away August 21, 2026. She was born Feb. 1, 1941, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Neal and Loretta (Neff) Allender. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1958. In 1959, she graduated from Mercy Central School of Practical Nursing in Springfield. She left Mercy Hospital and worked for Dr. Rudolph Pospisil for five years. In 1973, she went to work for Dr. William Leahy at Pediatrics Associates of Springfield, and retired from that practice 36 years later, in 2009. Linda was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and Northridge Lioness. She was an active member of Northridge United Methodist Church from Jan. 12, 1965, until recent years. She enjoyed reading, being with her grandchildren, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Jim, who died in 2013. She is survived by her daughters, Carrie Badgley Collins and husband Tracy of Loveland, Ohio, and Diana Badgley Connolly and her husband, Sean, of Naples, FL. Linda also is survived by six grandchildren: Connor Johnson (and wife Amelia) of Grove City; Bryce Johnson of West Chester, Ohio; Dylan Connolly of Los Angeles; Quinn Connolly of New York City; Cole Connolly of Boston; and Kate Connolly of Naples, FL, along with several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Allender Herzog. She was preceded in passing by her sister’s husband Tom; sisters-in-law Mildred Badgley Gruntz and husband Charles, Sandra Badgley Capps and husband Scott, and by brother-in-law Howard Badgley and wife Nancy. Private burial will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northridge United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 4610 Derr Road, Springfield, OH 45503; or to Northridge Lions Club for Eyesight, 4590 Derr Road, P.O. Box 71, Springfield, OH 45503.
