Laurie A. Highman

Highman, Laurie Ainsley, age 79, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Springfield Masonic Community. She was born on April 20, 1947, in New York City to David A. and Rita (Odom) Highman. For 45 years she taught middle school math in prestigious private schools in Washington D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, and Greensboro, North Carolina. Laurie loved horses, playing word and card games, spending time with her many dear friends, time at the beach, and always had a good book close at hand. She is survived by her brothers Duncan Highman and his wife Karen of Springfield, Ohio, Ainsley Highman and his wife Kathy of Branford, Connecticut, nieces; Jesse O’Neill and her husband AJ O’Neill, Laurie Nott and her husband Brian Nott, nephew David Highman, and beloved great nieces Elyse, Rosie, and June. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Her family would like to thank the staff, residents, and her close friends at the Springfield Masonic Community for making the last year of her life a most enjoyable one.
