Julia L. King

KING, Julia L., 98, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Springfield. Julia was born April 23, 1920 in Springfield, Ohio to Charles and Hattie (Stewart) Kitchen. She was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Harold "Skip" (Barb) King; daughter/niece, Cindy (Greg) Swords; twin sister, Helen Pollock; two grandchildren, Julia (Brian) Taylor and Cary Swords; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1996; two grandchildren, Trent and Tyler Swords; three brothers, Forest, Jack and Jim Kitchen; and a sister, Midge Reames. A private chapel service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Ferncliff Cemetery with Pastor Merrill Mellott officiating.
