Judith A. Woods

Woods, Judith A., 87, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Forest Glen surrounded by family. Judith was born June 15, 1939, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Carl P. and Frances E. (Burt) Maurer. She retired from Olan Mills and was a member of Northridge United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, David Woods; three daughters, Kim (Brian) Sesslar, Deb (Greg) Wilson and Melissa (Kent) Pummel; four grandchildren, Kyle (Sarah) Sesslar, Cole (Natasha) Sesslar, Kristin (Justin) Cosby and Bryce Pummel; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Dave (Celeste) Maurer; sister-in-law, Janice Woods; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Clum; and two brothers-in-law, Roger Woods and Bill Woods. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Northridge United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the church. The family would like to thank the staff at Legacy at Forest Glen and Interim Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
