Joe M. Dooley

DOOLEY, Joseph M, 55, of Springfield, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013, in Atlanta, GA. He was born July 2, 1958 in Springfield, the son of Charles and Phyllis (Tordiff) Dooley. Joe worked at several jobs through the years; however, most importantly, he changed the lives of others through his love and passion for music. To those of you, who played music with him and learned music from him, please know that you helped carry him through the aggressive times of illness. On behalf of our entire family, we thank you. Please continue to touch others through music like "Jammin' Joe" did for so many. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two daughters, Angela (Kurt) Klawonn, Jamestown and Jennifer (Jamison) Harned, Hilliard; two granddaughters, Savannah Jo and Taylor; one sister, Charlotte (Dale) Trapp and two brothers, Charles (Beverly) Dooley and Jim (Debbie) Dooley; several special aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and two sons, Jason Hess and Joey Dooley. Visitation will be Monday, November 11, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be at the funeral home, Tuesday, November 12, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Britton officiating. Burial will follow, Asbury Chapel Cemetery on Vernon-Asbury Road.
