John L. Whip

Whip, John L., 89 of Springfield, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. He was born in Springfield on March 8, 1937, the son of Raymond and Marie (Nigh) Whip. John worked as a mechanic for Coca-Cola for many years and later worked and retired from Geer Gas. John was a vintage car collector. Survivors include his daughter, Jody Bishop; son-in-law, Jeff Blatt; three grandchildren, Jason R. (Jennie) Bishop, Kelly (Rob Runkle) Blatt and Stacy (Derrick) Tillman and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle; daughter, Beth Blatt; son-in-law, Rod Bishop and sister, Susan Wagner. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
