John J. Lippolis

LIPPOLIS, John J., 76, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 6, 1950, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Paul R. and Wanda (Clark) Lippolis. John was a guitar instructor in Springfield for over 50 years, having taught numerous individuals over the years, enjoying every minute of it and still knew most of them by name. John was a dedicated musician and music lover. He was the area’s foremost expert in Beatles music. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he organized a May Cook-In and a November Thanksgiving meal for the poor. Survivors include his wife of nearly 46 year, Monica (Castle); one son and daughter-in-law, Chris & Renea Lippolis, Louisiana; three grandsons, Hayden, Mason and Colin; two sisters, Paula & Gene King and Dawn & Jack Ivy and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Darrel Castle and several aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
