John Lauer

Lauer, John, 93, of Springfield, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at Wooded Glen. John was born March 4, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of John “Jack” and Aloysia (Niehoff) Lauer. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Glenn (Theresa) Lauer; two sisters and brother-in-law, Dolores Riley and Gladys (Lorenzo) Jara and 14 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Barbara’s family members, brother-in-law, Charles Ashy; sister-in-law, Mimi Ashy; 10 nephews and 15 nieces. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend, Barbara; sister, Kathleen Walter and brother-in-law, Larry Walter. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in St. Bernard Church. Inurnment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
