Jerry Michael Satterfield

Satterfield, Jerry Michael, 80, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in his home. Jerry was born April 14, 1946, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Orlando and Helen (Smith) Satterfield. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in Vietnam. He then went on to work as a Fire Fighter and Paramedic for the City of Springfield for 26 years. He later re-enlisted in the Navy Reserves as a Corpsman in 1983. Jerry was also a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters and was an avid photographer. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda (Westbeld) Satterfield; three children, Kelly (Jason) Cole, Cameron Satterfield and Michael Satterfield; five grandchildren, Thomas Cole, Stacey Cole, Garrett (Rebecca) Cole, Kiersten (Logan) Douglass and Declan Satterfield; two great grandchildren, Bodhi Douglass and Irelia Cole; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Satterfield. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
