Jerry E. Adams

ADAMS, Jerry E., 79, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 in his home. Jerry was born May 18, 1939 in Springfield, Ohio to Ray and Faye (Maxwell) Adams. He worked for Robbins & Myers for over 20 years, and later retired from Promac, Inc. Jerry loved watching his grandkids play sports, and he was The #1 Buckeye fan. He was also a member of the Buckeye Sports Lodge, the Union Club, Machinist Club, Eagles and VFW Post 1031. Survivors include his wife for 60 years, Beverly (Ellis); three children, Cindy Boggs, Cathy (Chris) Skinner and Rob Adams; 6 grandkids, Lacey (Travis) Cox, Brooke Boggs, Tommy Boggs, Lindsay (Josh) Krupp, Christopher (Jodie) Skinner and Micheal (Mindy) Skinner; great grandkids, Connor and Colton Cox, Kaylee Puckett, Jace Krupp, Kenzlie Hall, Lily, Abby, Emma, Caleb, Luke and Blaze Skinner; two siblings, Marjorie "Boots" Kaercher and Jim C. Adams; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Bud) Milner; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Bob, Don and Dick; and in-laws, Bob and Martha Ellis. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 - 7 in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with John Tullis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
