Tooker, James A. “Jim”, 71, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Jim was born January 15, 1952, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Robert and Carol Tooker. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Bridges-Tooker; daughter, Jessica Tooker; sister, Jeannie Dirlam; niece, Susan Fain; grandnephews, Cody Fain and Ryan Fain; along with many other beloved family members. He was preceded in death by this parents and brother-in-law, Ronnie Dirlam. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed listening to music, working on his computer, working in his garage, photography and traveling. It was very fortunate that he got to enjoy a vacation visiting family right before his passing. He was very happy during this vacation, and he loved his family and friends very much. He especially enjoyed spending time and joking with family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As his long-time friend, Dean Adams, had eloquently written about Jim: If there is a goodbye to be said it would not be understood by anyone but him. “I think we’re all bozos on this bus.” In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association, in his name.
