James R. Newell

Newell, James R. “Jimmy”, 59, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in Southbrook Care Center. Jimmy was born September 3, 1963 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of James M. and Sonja K. (Reed) Newell. He attended St. Raphael School, Catholic Central High School and Clark County JVS. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Newell; a sister, Cindy (Chris) Dickens; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Newell. The family would like to thank the staff at Southbrook Care Center for their kind and exceptional care over the years. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Elijah Puthoff officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. A Burial of Ashes will be held in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
