James Sebastian Montico

Montico, James S. “Jim”, 79, of Springfield, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, in SOIN Medical Center. Jim was born July 7, 1947, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of John Bruno and Saveria (Mammolite) Montico. Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of the local UAW # 402 and enjoyed watching baseball and The Ohio State Buckeyes. But more than anything, Jim loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sharon (Rose) Montico; two children, Jerry (Michelle) Montico and Patti Montico; four grandchildren, Dino, Nico, Eli and Noah; one brother, John Montico; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Joey. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow at a later date.
