James L. Cutler

Cutler, James L. “Jim”, 98, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Oakwood Village. He was born in Pennsboro, West Virginia, the son of David Dean and Ada Lee (Vandergrift) Cutler. Jim owned and operated Cutler Insurance for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army Airborne Jumpmaster, serving during the Korean War. Jim was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio-Anthony Lodge 455 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda Sue (Kevin) Beougher; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Sue (Price) Cutler in 2010; and second wife, Mary Lou (Rhodes) Cutler in 2020. Per Jim’s wishes, no services will be held. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
