Gretchen Tyler Johnson

Johnson, Gretchen Tyler, 84, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2013 at Masonic Home. She was born August 31, 1928 in Columbus, OH to Marvin and Vernice (Hill) Tyler. Gretchen retired from Fairborn City Schools. She loved cooking and was a chef extraordinaire. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband Clarence; children, Tyler (Kathy), Jane (Darrel) Gateley and Matthew (Cheryl); grandchildren, Heidi (Shawn) Ferrill; and two great grandchildren. Her memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Brian Farr officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice.
