Cynthia "Cindy" Gilliland

Gilliland, Cynthia "Cindy" 54, of Springfield, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at 7:22 a.m. She was born August 16, 1967 in Springfield the daughter of David and Leona Smith and was a Springfield resident her whole life. She was an employee for three years at Topre America, but spent 20 years in childcare. She not only was a mother to her children, but she was there as a mother to her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren too. Cindy was a mother to all that needed her to be. Her memory will live on through her husband of 32 years, Carl Gilliland; daughter, Ashley (Andrew); son Josh (Rachel); daughter, Sarah (Mike); grandchildren, Myranda, Cheyenne, Wyatt, Tyler, Waylon, Marah, Aurora and Auria; brother, Tom; sisters, Connie, Bonnie and Karen and many of her friends. She enjoyed a variety of things: crafting, watching her birds and squirrels, down to her favorite shows on Netflix. But most of all she really enjoyed time at the beach. "The beach is my happy place". Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bud Rose officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
