GAMBLE, Connie Sue, 77, died on August 10, 2025, with her devoted husband, Alan, at her side. She was born July 2, 1948, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Earl and Gladine Gardner. Connie called Springfield home her entire life. She found joy in creative pursuits, from painting, crocheting, quilting, or refinishing furniture to messy craft projects with her grandchildren. Connie began her career as a stenographer and then a stay-at-home mom. She later held various roles in sales and marketing, and as a paralegal before fulfilling a long-time dream of owning a furniture store with her husband. She loved traveling to see her kids, going to the shore, or spending the afternoon on a boat. An extrovert at heart, she was happy surrounded by others, sharing stories and laughter. She kept her sense of humor and love of joking banter to the end.
Connie is survived by her husband, Alan; her daughter, Susan (David); stepchildren, Travis (Jennifer), Chad (Myra) and Amanda (Tom); 13 grandchildren, Amelia, Tabitha, Seth, Tilleigh, Evie, Olivia, Eli, Noah, Georgia, Roman, Avery, Claire and Blake. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Lee Comer and many special aunts and uncles, including Raymond and Agnes Gardner. Her family is deeply grateful to the Masonic Community of Springfield and Affinity Care Hospice for their kindness, support, and compassionate care to Connie and her family. Connie had many beloved dogs throughout her life. In honor of her, please consider donating to an animal shelter or rescue organization of your choice. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Connie will be laid to rest in Ferncliff Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
