Christine Wissinger

Christine Wissinger, 82, of Ocala, Florida, passed away in Ocala on October 29, 2026.Christine was born in Springfield, Ohio, on October 27, 1944, to Joseph and Mary Catherine Whitacre. She attended Catholic Central High School. She spent her entire professional career in banking and retired from Regions Bank in 2016.Christine is survived by her daughter, Kim Deitemeyer (Daryl), and her sons, Roger (Michelle) Wissinger and Wil (Meagan) Wissinger, all of Ocala, Florida; her grandchildren, Mitch Medley, Sarah Norcross, Charlie Wissinger, Joseph Wissinger, Justin Wissinger, Madison Wissinger, Robert Lopez, Jarred Lopez; and her 11 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Catherine Whitacre, and her brothers, Joseph Whitacre, and Michael Whitacre. She is survived by her brother, Steven (Connie) Whitacre, and her sister, Rene (Ralph) Talkers.  A funeral service will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church located at 5 SE 17th Street, Ocala, FL on November 6, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., with a reception to follow.

Family and friends may have a private visitation in the Marian Chapel 30 minutes before the funeral Mass. The casket will be closed prior to and during the Mass.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at (https://www.stjude.org).

Christine lived her lifelong Catholic faith through love, kindness, and caring for others. She loved life, and her wit, humor, and good nature made every gathering more fun. Many of her banking colleagues and clients became dear friends. Her three children were her proudest connections. She was their biggest supporter, confidant, advisor, and friend. Her love extended to each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating a wonderful legacy.
