Charles Lee "Blackie" Mooney

Mooney, Charles Lee “Blackie”, 79, of New Carlisle, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Kettering Health Main Campus. Blackie was born October 10, 1946, in Osborne, Ohio (now Fairborn), the son of Luther F. and Thelma L. (Copeland) Mooney. He worked as a carpet layer for many years. He also loved the Lord very much and attended Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include two siblings, Jerry Don Mooney and Melinda (Jerry) Valentine; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Betty Sue Benson, Joallen Mooney, Tommy Franklin Mooney and Sonny D. Mooney. No services will be held at this time.
