Bruce Eugene Terrell

Terrell, Bruce E., 73, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, July 20, 2026. Bruce was born in Springfield, Ohio, on July 6, 1953, the son of Bernard and Anna Ruth (Jobe) Terrell. Bruce married the love of his life, Grace (Catanzaro) Terrell, on July 23, 1975, and together they raised their three children: Jessica, Benjamin, and Eric. Bruce’s life could be described in one word: loyal. Bruce spent his life dedicated to his family, his work at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, the Masonic community, the TV show C.O.P.S., and tinkering around the house. From changing the oil on the car to completing a full kitchen remodel, there was not a job too big or too small for Bruce to accomplish. After retiring from the Ohio DRC, Bruce enjoyed traveling the United States, continuing his involvement as Past Master of St. Andrew’s Masonic Lodge #619, Palestine Commandery, York Rite, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Dayton Antioch Shriners, Past Patron of Home City Chapter OES #248, Elks BPOE #51. He enjoyed life with his grandchildren, Zayne Rosales and Ethan (Faith Klott) Rosales; five great grandchildren, Mariah, Layla, Maia, Damian and Abigail. He is also survived by his three siblings, Linda (Ed) Rose, James (Karen) Terrell and Mary Ann (Herb) Whitt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica; and a grandson, Corey. A Masonic Service will be held on Tuesday, July 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME, with a Memorial Service immediately following. Visitation will be held two hours prior, beginning at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
