Barbara Jean Nache Beard

Beard, Barbara Jean Nache, 76, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in her home surrounded by family. Barbara was born April 19, 1949, in Danville, Illinois, to Helen Nache. She enjoyed spending time with her children, and especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James Beard; two children, LeAnn (Michael) Russell and James, (Julie) Beard, II; five grandchildren, Tristan, Ashlee (Brady), Jordan, James “Trey” III and Jacob; two great grandchildren, Finneas and Theodore; one sister, Rita (Bill) Merrill; one sister-in-law, Mary; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a younger sister. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 5 p.m. in the funeral home. A service and burial of ashes will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Moline, Illinois at a later date.
